This week-long course is great for young riders or those new to horse handling. Participants will be assigned a horse for the week and will learn to groom, tack, and ride. Riders will have the opportunity to choose between Western or English disciplines. General horse health, care, and safety will also be covered.By working in small groups, the information is tailored to meet the needs of each group member. The course concludes on Friday morning with a horse show and spectators are welcome.
REQUIREMENTS:
Riders must be at least 7 years old!
All riders must wear long pants and close-toed shoes.
Don't Forget a water bottle and a snack!
Each rider may bring their own helmet, though helmets will be available.
